March 2019 Newsletter

Can you believe it it’s almost spring. The days are becoming longer now and the cold and gloomy nights are disappearing to bring us sunshine to make your soul smile. Although officially spring doesn’t start until the 20th March we like this time of year when everything in nature is changing, so step outside and be rewarded by displays of flowers bursting into colourful life, and the crescendos of bird song.

I do hope you enjoying the puzzles that Jacky is creating to keep you entertained, and those wonderful recipes that Claire is finding, this month’s recipe makes me want to eat breakfast for every meal.

We do hope that you like our KTG characters featured in Lisa's article this month, along with information that our back office team is announcing, and finally we would like to introduce you to Emily as our meet the team nominee this month, find out she does in her spare time.

We hope that March brings you great weather to be able to enjoy your free time out in nature with your family and friends.

Hi as registered Manager at KTG Social Care I wanted to give you an overview of what to expect during assessment and care planning. KTG take your care planning very seriously, and we subscribe to the belief that your care and support should help you live your life the way you want to.

Each person is treated as an individual and what help you need, we assess what you can already do, what you want to achieve. We will work with you and your family to make you feel that all your wishes and prefrences are achieved to ensure you get care and support provided to you.

Ive found this intertesing leaflet provided by NICE the National Institute
for Health and Care Excellence, I'm sure that you’ll find it has some
good advice, rest assured we at KTG Social Care take you care seriously,
we don’t just provide a service we help support you in your life.

Meet the Team

1. What’s your favourite part about your job?

Meeting new candidates and going on face to face meetings.

2. You’re favourite quote and why?

I have two first one;

Fear has two meanings. Forget everything and run or face everything and rise, the choice is yours.

This has helped me a lot in the recent past.

Second one is:

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain.

Meaning whatever comes expect the unexpected and deal with it in your own way.

3. What do you enjoy to do when you’re not working and why?

I love getting out and about, exploring new and old places with kami. Love nature and being in it I am happiest in the middle of a forest or near water.

Love spending time with my family and friends exploring with them also. If I am not out I like to play games on XBOX or watch movies.

4. Your favourite book, movie, podcast etc…and why?

Books: Anna Sewell Black Beauty, My Sisters Keeper, Child Called IT and Robin Hood

Films: The Crow, Black Beauty, Labyrinth, Princes Bride these are the films I watch if I am poorly.

5. Your greatest achievements in life?

Still working towards achieving them.

6. Who inspires you?

I have a phoenix tattoo that inspires me as no matter what life throws at me I can rise from the ashes.

Kami in providing for her I want the best for her so inspires me to work harder.

My mum and dad for how hard they’ve worked to provide for me and my brother, the lessons they have taught us.

My nana even in her 80s she still maintains her independence.
